MICROCHIPPING

There are varying opinions on microchipping and the dust hasn't settled on it yet.  Although it doesn't really fit in with holistic or natural rearing, Gentry Boxers has to do it to prove positive ID on our show and breeding dogs.  Our health screens are published to the OFA site and positive ID in the form of a microchip or tatoo is required.  I've done the tatoo route, and it really hurts the dog.  So we've opted for microchipping since it seems to be the lesser of the evils.
