HOMEOPATHIC REMEDIES
The study of homeopathy requires time and effort if one is to use it effectively at home. Though some of us have access to holistic and homeopathic veterinarians, some do not. There are some veterinarians who consult on line and seem to be able to do it very effectively from a distance. There are references to some vets I have worked with below.
If you wish to use homeopathy yourself, I strongly recommend that you learn to muscle test for yourself and on behalf of your animals. Muscle testing, also known as "kinesiology" is a reasonably effective way to select appropriate remedies for particular situations. I wouldnt' recommend using this for crisis situations because your emotions can override the accuracy of muscle testing unless you are extremely skilled at it. But for times when you can sit down and take the time to focus, this is a good method.

At Gentry Boxers, we use Healing Solution spray for tail docks and dewclaw removals with fantastic healing results.

Ingredients:
Calendula is used topically for wound healing, acne, reducing inflammation, soothing irritated tissue and to control bleeding. It has anti-viral, anti-carcinogenic, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Hydrastus (Goldenseal) is considered to be a great natural anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial herb and is often used to boost the medicinal effects of other herbs.
Witch Hazel has astringent properties and reduces inflammation and swelling by shrinking and contracting blood vessels back to their normal size. It is also used in treating acne, bruises and insect bites.
Yucca is used to treat skin lesions, sprains, inflammation and to stop bleeding. It is also beneficial in treatment of arthritis and joint pain.

Instructions for use:
Wounds, cuts, abrasions, diaper rash, sore nipples and insectb ites – wash the affected area under a vigorous stream of water and dry it with a sterile gauze or clean towel. Apply Healing Solution 3 – 6 times per day or as needed for 3 – 5 days.
